Your idea could become law!
In your work in the community, have you ever thought, “there really ought to be a law about…” or “a law would really help”? If so, your SPAC delegates would love to hear from you!
The most thoroughly researched submission will be recognized at the October GMM with an announcement and a prize! Submission due by 11:59pm on October 10th.
Every year, the State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC) delegates from 17 Junior Leagues in California meet to review all of the suggestions presented by members across the state. As a group, they decide which idea to sponsor as a piece of original legislation in California and work with legislators to turn the idea into law.
Let’s make 2016 the year that the winning idea comes from the Junior League of Pasadena!
Your contest entry can include ideas for new laws, a change in an existing law, or an idea that could be researched for further legislation. Please focus your entry on one of the following 5 issue areas:

CalSPAC is committed to addressing the impact of violence in our communities through prevention, intervention, and education.
